It is my pleasure to inform you about new co-operations between TheNewAfrica//Journal of Change, ONE, ICWE and the Biennale Marrakech 5. We are very glad to be able to cover such different issues like politics, education and the arts.
Beate Wedekind, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of TheNewAfrica.
1. Co-operation with ONE
For many years, I have taken part in the campaigns of ONE to end extreme poverty in Africa http://www.one.org/. Now I has been given a wonderful opportunity to work for this great organization, which was co-founded by Bono http://www.ted.com/speakers/bono.html and is supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation http://www.gatesfoundation.org/among others, from 1 March to 30 September as a substitute for Tobias Kahler, the organization’s Germany Director, during his parental leave.
With regard to the preparation of important dates for Africa in 2015, such as the German hosting of the G8 and the UN summit on a new development agenda, ONE will again play an important role as an advocacy and campaigning organisation. This makes it particularly exciting to work for them now.
My motto has always been: Chances, Challenges, Changes. In this sense, I am pleased to be able to add this new component to my commitment to the future of people in Africa.
2. Co-operation with ICWE and eLearning Africa
At the same time, I am pleased to inform you that TheNewAfrica//Journal of Change is doing very well and that Rebecca Stromeyer, an entrepreneur with enormous experience in Africa http://www.icwe.net/ and http://www.elearning-africa.com/, and I have decided to work together even more closely.
3. Co-operation with the Biennale Marrakech 5
